LESLIE KING – Leslie Snook was born and raised in Kansas City. Besides spending six months in Spain, the Midwest has been her beloved home for most of her life.. Even though her roots are there, she has not let it keep her from spreading her wings and fulfilling her love of travel. However, most importantly, all the exciting things in life that have been thrown her way have only been fulfilling because of her relationship with Christ.
She came to know the Lord at the young age of four with her mom. Even at that age she was very aware of spiritual things. She remembers, rather vividly, the nights lying in bed when she was in kindergarten when she would stay awake as long as possible thanking God for everything…the trees, animals (individually named of course), food, her family, and probably even shopping too. Her desire to read the Bible and learn about her faith began at this young age and helped solidify a strong foundation.
It wasn’t until she turned thirteen when life and family circumstances took a drastic turn that she truly put her faith to the test and into action. Her family had begun attending First Family Church of Overland Park, KS at that crucial time, which proved to be a significant part of her continued growth and survival. Over the next thirteen years she would be blessed to have the opportunity to grow spiritually, to learn that people everywhere are in need of Christ, and to hone her musical skills at First Family Church.
Leslie currently is pursuing a CD project of her own and is an associate worship leader at First Family. She is full of anticipation of what God has around the corner of life and prays that she will continue to be thankful for all He has done! Zephaniah 3:17
